One of the most stunning breeds of chickens in the world. The breed originated in England in the 19th century. The Sebright breed has black lacing with either gold or silver base color. They lay very small, tinted eggs, but do not lay well and are not setters. They are kept primarily for pleasure and exhibition. The Porcelain D'Uccle originates in Belgium. They have beards, feathered legs, and their plumage is a beautiful blueish-white that almost seems iridescent and all feathers are tipped in white. Silkies are named for their unique fluffy plumage, which feels like silk. They have several unusual qualities, such as black skin and bones, blue earlobes, and five toes on each foot (although not all of our silkies will hatch out with five toes). Calm and friendly and the most docile of poultry, they make an ideal pet. Hens are broody and make good mothers. Though they are fair layers themselves, they are commonly used to hatch eggs from other breeds. Silkies are only sold in assorted colors, and we do not guarantee any colors in assortments. Buff Cochin Bantams have solid golden buff plumage that is rich in color and free of both black and white. They must not be subject to direct sunlight or their plumage will bleach, therefore, shade must be provided. They have yellow shanks and toes which are fully feathered. Cochins can be very broody and make good mothers. Straight run only.

Easter Egger Bantams have muffs, beards and pea combs like standard Easter Eggers. They are grayish colored in the females and grey with red on the wings and neck on the males. Easter Egger Bantams will lay blue, green and the occasional brown egg. Straight run only.

Blue Breasted Red Old English Bantams have combs, faces, wattles and ear lobes that are bright red. Males and females have entirely different plumage patterns. Some of these birds will have a black breast. All Old English Bantams have single combs, but the males must be dubbed for exhibition. The chicks will be brown with dark brown stripes on their back.

Black Tailed Buff Japanese Bantams feature plumage of the head, back, breast, body and legs in buff. The tail is black with the top two feathers edged with buff. The sickles and lesser sickles are black edged with buff. The male’s wing primaries are black, fringed with buff while the female’s wing primaries are black with the outer edge being buff.

Black Tailed White are the most popular of the Japanese Bantams. They have short legs, as do all Japanese Bantams. The plumage of the neck, front of neck, back breast and wing fronts, bows and coverts are either white or silver white. The main tail feathers are black, while the tail sickles, tail coverts and wing primaries are black, edged with white.

Buff Silkie Bantams are solid buff or straw color. We include both bearded and non-bearded varieties. As with other Silkies, they are very attractive birds that are active and hardy, they tend to go broody and make excellent mothers. Crele Old English Bantams are strikingly beautiful birds with bright hackle and saddle feathers that show alternate bars of straw color and orange-red. Females are a brownish gray barred coloration typical of a crele type hen.

Partridge Cochin Bantams are probably the most striking and beautiful of all the Bantam Cochin varieties. The male pattern of plumage is entirely different from that of the female. As chicks they are a brownish-gold with stripes on their back. Like other types of Cochin Bantams, they often go broody and make good mothers. Straight run only.

Unlike all other chickens, the feathers of the frizzle curve outward and forward, giving the appearance of having been dried with a blow dryer. These frizzles will be red. They will not reproduce 100% frizzle. There will always be some normal feathered birds. Straight run only.

Red Cochin Bantams are an even shade of lustrous red throughout their plumage, which consists of an abundance of long, soft, broad feathers. Single Comb Rhode Island Red Bantams are known for their beautiful, rich, dark mahogany red color with a black tail. They have a very distinctive horizontal, oblong body shape that is deep, broad and long, sometimes described as being “brick shaped”. From the time the chicks hatch until maturity, they may have white on the wing tips that will leave when they mature.

Silver Sebright Bantams are a very distinct, stylish type with tails that are full and well expanded, large wings that are hung low, and the unique of the males being “hen feathered”. Sebrights are the only breed where the males do not have any pointed hackle, saddle or tail sex feathers. All of the surface plumage is silvery white laced with a narrow edging of lustrous black.
